Paragraph
The Flight is a bold architectural exploration of geometry, movement, and spatial drama, conceived as a dynamic two-storey residence defined by strong lines and expressive roof forms. The structure derives its name from its striking silhouette; where the sloping roof planes and projecting volumes create the impression of an aircraft poised for take-off. This sense of motion and lightness, despite the solidity of its materials, defines the spirit of the house. Anchored by an exposed brick structure and articulated with an RCC roof, the design balances mass and movement, giving rise to a vibrant and energetic built form. At the ground level, the house is organized around a double-height living space, which acts as the experiential core. The living room seamlessly ties together the kitchen, dining, and bedroom, allowing spaces to flow while retaining their individual identities. Above the dining area, the roof dramatically unfolds into three distinct wings extending over the bedroom, kitchen, and dining spaces. The staircase leads to the first floor, where three additional bedrooms are arranged around an octagonal light well. This cut-out introduces daylight deep into the interiors while maintaining a strong visual connection with the living space below. As one ascends, the living area suddenly reveals itself in its full double height, crowned by the sloping roof whose changing angles are visible throughout the day, continuously animating the interior.
