Paragraph
Gabha is conceived as a seamless fusion of architecture and product design, where the house is approached not as a static composition of rooms, but as a dynamic system capable of adapting to the changing rhythms of everyday life. Spanning 1,600 square feet across two floor plates, the project reinterprets conventional residential planning by moving away from rigid spatial demarcations and embracing a more fluid and responsive architectural language.
At the heart of the design lies a carefully developed geometric framework that governs the organization of space. Traditional walls are reimagined as strategic spine elements that structure the house while allowing rooms to expand, contract, and transform according to their intended functions. This modular approach creates an environment that is both efficient and adaptable, where spatial boundaries remain flexible rather than fixed.
The upper level accommodates the public realm of the home, bringing together the living, dining, and kitchen spaces as a continuous volume alongside a guest bedroom. The arrangement encourages openness, interaction, and visual connectivity, allowing everyday activities to unfold within a cohesive and expansive setting.
In contrast, the lower level is envisioned as a private retreat, housing two generously proportioned master bedrooms. Here, the planning becomes increasingly fluid, dissolving unnecessary barriers to create spaces that feel open, calm, and deeply personal. The transition between the two floors is orchestrated through a central connector space that accommodates a sculptural spiral staircase, transforming circulation into an architectural experience in itself.
