The goal was to design a cost-effective yet aesthetic and ergonomic Carbon Sulphur Analyzer to compete with high-cost imports from China and the US. Our scope included creating a visually appealing, user-friendly design while engineering an innovative lid-open mechanism that seamlessly concealed the existing one, enhancing the machine’s overall aesthetics and functionality. The design exhibits a refined biomorphic aesthetic through its curved white body and organic black crown, creating visual softness for laboratory equipment. The dual-tone palette of clinical white with technical black balances approachability with precision instrumentation. The integrated control surface emerges seamlessly from the top plane, featuring intuitive iconography and subtle accent colors (orange, cyan) that guide user interaction. Perforated ventilation panels add functional texture while the rounded edges soften the rectilinear mass, achieving professional sophistication without sterility.
